Mr. Shane Wallace recently moved to Amarillo, TX to become the new Athletic Director for San Jacinto Christian Academy. Shane comes to Amarillo from Fayetteville Christian School in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he served as the athletic director for the past seven years.

Shane hales from Alabama where he attended The University of North Alabama on an athletic scholarship in football. After lettering two seasons in football, he left UNA and joined the U.S. Army. He served for four years including tours during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield. After leaving the U.S. Army and the birth of his daughter Emily Shae, Shane began pursuing God’s call into full-time ministry. He completed his BS in Exercise Physiology and Chemistry from East Carolina University in 1996 and was ordained and licensed in the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1997. Shane has served in numerous churches as a Youth Pastor as well as Athletic Director at two Christian schools. He is excited to use his experience in building athletic programs to assist all SJCA athletic programs to become the best they can be in character and play.

Shane has been married to Tracie Wallace for 21 years. They have three living children, Elam (17), Whitney (14), Shane Hays Jr. (3) and two who have gone to live with Jesus, Emily Shae (3/9/92 – 6-2-97) and Faith (6-1-97 – 6-1-97).

Shane’s favorite scripture is Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."
